Time Unwinding
Show Description:
Time Unwinding explores the elasticity and illusion of time—how it can stretch, compress, repeat, and dissolve depending on perception. Through the recurring transformation of familiar musical material in Movement I and III, time feels cyclical and distorted, as if moments are looping back on themselves. The central movement, Hymn of Acxiom, anchors the experience with a more introspective lens, examining how memory, identity, and technology reshape our sense of passing time.
Together, the work plays with the idea that time is never fixed—it is something constantly being rewritten as we experience it.
